Visit the historic Union Station near downtown Los Angeles built in 1939 for a guided WalkShop highlighting the station’s art and architecture features that include an old ticket concourse room, restaurants, waiting rooms, a state-of-the-art Patsaouras Bus Plaza, and a 14-track access tunnel walkway to a host of transportation services that include Metrolink commuter rail, Amtrak, Metro’s Red/Purple Line subway system and the Metro Gold Line light rail system. More than 100,000 passengers use this major transportation hub in their daily commute. Experience artwork along Metro Red Line subway enroute to Union Station and then hop on the Metro Gold Line to visit the Little Tokyo/Arts District station and area for a quick walking tour of a major rail project under construction known as the Regional Connector Transit Project.
