Bridging the Gap: the Last Mile

The role of public transportation has continued to evolve from simply putting buses on the road into one of being mobility conveners across bus, rail, scooters, bikes, shuttles, and more. No one entity can do it – and do it well – alone. But leading transportation agencies have the power to convene public and private sector transportation in a way that ensures seamless access, delivery, and payment for riders.

What are the tools, platforms, relationships, and policy foundations needed to ensure our transportation systems are coordinated and effective? And how are they ensuring this service will connect historically under-serviced communities to more mobility options? In this session, we’ll hear from three regions leading the way in convening multimodal journeys.
