Public Realm Peer Network January Meeting: Street Closures

Jan 20, 2026 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm ET

In this meeting, we’ll dive deeper into the Street Closures database that we briefly showcased at the end of the November meeting. The goal of this document is to create a central database of street closures around North America. We’d like to continue to refine the document by:

– Confirming the definitions for the variety of street closure types

– Workshopping the headings/prompts

– Adding your street closure projects, programs, laws, etc.

Come with your own examples to include. If your city does not have a street closure, no worries! We’d love your input on how this database could be helpful to you should your city like to move forward with your own project, program, or policy.
