This month’s NACTO Public Realm Peer Network call is about (drumroll please…) INSURANCE!
If you’ve tried to push your city to increase its vibrancy, activity, and all the fun uses of our streets and sidewalks, chances are you’ve run into the daunting world of insurance.
Yes, we know insurance might not sound like the most ‘exciting’ topic, but insurance and risk management are often a major hurdle to activating our streets and sidewalks for more than the traditional transportation options. So come join us on September 9th at 3pm ET / 12pm PT to discuss how we can navigate the insurance and risk management landscape in our cities.
Our friends from Atlanta and Boston will share their successes and learnings in trying to overcome insurance hurdles in their street activation work. We’ll have some time for discussion and questions, and then we really want to figure out what kind of resources our peer network can provide to help all NACTO cities figure out this hugely important question for street activations.
