Member Discussion on Winter Cities

Sep 25, 2025 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm ET

This small group event offers 10-12 NACTO members the opportunity to engage in a discussion that explores shared interests in transportation planning for cold-weather urban climates. Harsh winter weather significantly impacts street maintenance, with cold temperatures and conditions affecting pedestrians, cyclists, and transit.

This invite will be interesting for members focused on maintenance, where these particular considerations are significant:

1) Snow conditions of 100 inches of snow each winter season

2) Maintenance practices involving snow hauling and snow dumps

3) Increasing bike and pedestrian infrastructure

As space is limited, please email Aminah Ricks at aminah@nacto.org. The first 12 members who RSVP will receive the Zoom link to participate in the event.

We strongly suggest members share and remain on-screen due to the small attendance, which ensures everyone learns together.
