Our next Safe System/Vision Zero peer network meeting will be on Monday, April 27.
Vision Zero efforts often run into political headwinds and vocal public resistance. To help us better understand these challenges—and how to navigate them—we’re hosting a session with Dr. Katherine Einstein, whose decade of research sheds light on the political dynamics shaping transportation policy.
Dr. Einstein is an associate professor of political science and the director of undergraduate studies at Boston University. Her work focuses on politics, public policy, racial and ethnic politics, and urban policy. She is co-principal investigator of an annual survey of mayors that started in 2014 and explores a wide range of political and policy issues, including transportation.
In this session, Dr. Einstein will share insights into how political leaders think about transportation and how practitioners can more effectively inform and influence their decision-making.
This event is only open to staff at NACTO member agencies. Member agency staff can access registration details on our community forum.
