Sophia is a Senior Manager of Multimodal Design and Programs for NACTO. Her role ranges from developing design guidance to supporting member networks to facilitating policy and practice related workshops.
Before joining NACTO, Sophia worked for the City of Austin, initially on the Active Transportation team and later on the Urban Design team. Since earning her M.S. in Community and Regional Planning at the University of Texas in 2013, Sophia worked in the private and public sector in Austin while serving in various bicycle advocacy roles. She is an enthusiastic problem solver, understands how to center equity in her work, and believes in the importance of bringing a little joy to the mundane.
