Fielding Hong

Fielding Hong is a Program Manager on the Capacity Building team at NACTO, supporting curricular opportunities that train city transportation professionals to advance sustainable and just design, policy, and organizational culture.

Throughout his career he has worked at the intersections of education, art and design, civic engagement, and social justice. Fielding has worked as both a high school history teacher in Philadelphia and a museum educator in New York. Most recently, he was the Senior Youth Education Program Manager at the Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP), where he directed strategy for civically-engaged, project based learning programs. He holds a B.A. in Film Studies from Wesleyan University, a teaching degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master’s in Culture and Gender Studies from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.

When he’s not working he’s taking photos, playing recreational volleyball, or searching for the perfect chip.
