NACTO Peer Networks

debug msg: this block is Large Text Block, Left Aligned

NACTO advances the state of practice for city transportation by fostering open communication and collaboration between cities and developing peer networks of knowledgeable and engaged policymakers, practitioners, and planners.

Peer networks meet to exchange ideas and experiences both online and in-person, ranging from forums where technical and policy questions are discussed to events convened by NACTO in member cities. In-person meetings are an impactful tool for the network: from Roundtables and Sister City events to the annual Designing Cities conference, these events are highly-tailored and interactive, providing on-the-ground tours of design treatments and creating an opportunity for direct collaboration between peers in different cities.

The peer networks also help produce and provide feedback for NACTO’s publications, design guides, and policy proposals. The sharing of technical expertise and collaboration across program areas ensure that NACTO’s documents remain peer-reviewed texts that are produced by cities and for cities.

Each of NACTO’s seven program areas has a Peer Network, which forms the foundation of peer sharing on that topic.
