Uditi is an Architect and Urbanist, with eight years of urban development experience in India across policy, planning, and design. She specializes in public space upgradation, inclusive urban revitalization, and streetscape design—all from the lens of climate change, culture, and accessibility.
Uditi joined NACTO’s Global Designing Cities Initiative as the India Program Manager in 2021, and she is based in New Delhi. In this role, she oversees the BIGRS work in India, managing the various interventions for safer streets and safer mobility. Prior to this, she was working with the National Institute of Urban Affairs in India, the technical body of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, where she developed some of the recent urban development programs and frameworks (such as the Historic Cities Program and the ClimateSmart Cities Assessment Framework). She brings with her the experience of working with the various levels of government in India as well as NGOs and funding agencies.
Uditi has a Master’s Degree in Housing and Urbanism from the Architectural Association, London and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Manipal University, India.
