John Eastman, AICP, CNU-A is a Project Manager in the City of Austin Public Works Department Sidewalk and Special Projects Division (SSPD). He manages planning and construction of sidewalks, urban trails, bikeways, and related infrastructure projects with a focus on implementing the Austin’s Sidewalk Master Plan and ADA Transition Plan. A graduate of the University of Toronto with a degree in civil engineering; he has over 25 years of diverse experience in private and public sector construction management and land use planning. He is a true multi-modal specialist who financed his early career as a recreational skier with jobs driving city buses and teaching whitewater canoeing.
