Today we lost a dedicated civil servant, city champion, and urban leader, San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee. Mayor Lee championed cities as places for diversity, inclusion, and opportunity for all over his nearly four-decades-long career in and for San Francisco. Today, San Franciscans will take transit, walk, and hop on their bikes to explore their vibrant city and region—all causes that Mayor Lee deeply cared about and fought for.
Thank you Mayor Lee. To your family and the people of San Francisco, my deepest condolences. We will continue to work for sustainable, equitable transportation in your memory.
