NACTO Certified Trainers

NACTO trains and certifies national and international design leaders to conduct trainings to NACTO members and non-member cities based on Core Topics and Frames, developed from NACTO design guidance and other leading publications. These practitioners have substantial experience in designing for urban streets, often in city government. Trainings in cities outside the NACTO network are typically led by certified trainers, while NACTO staff lead trainings in NACTO member cities, alongside certified trainers and other leaders in the field.

Certified Trainers must have experience working closely with NACTO and our member cities, and an extensive working knowledge of NACTO Guides. Leading designers and engineers are invited to become Certified Trainers by recommendation of member city staff, and participate in a Train-the-Trainer workshop before being certified.

See our roster of Certified Trainers.
