As bike ridership and infrastructure continue to grow in the US, this panel will examine the benefits that result from safety in numbers for cyclists and other road users. Panelists will discuss resistance to cycling infrastructure and increased ridership despite the added safety benefits, share best practices in incorporating cycling into Vision Zero policy, and explore the political leadership and street design projects that led to successful cycling programs in the US and in other countries, like the UK and the Netherlands.
