Bike Share in the United States: Lessons Learned and Emerging Best Practices for Integrating Public Transportation and Planning

NACTO held a bike share workshop in March 2012 to discuss emerging trends and best practices in bike sharing in the United States. The national meeting was the first of its kind, convening bike share owners, operators, and other stakeholders in Washington D.C. The workshop was co-organized by Federal Transit Administration, Federal Highway Administration and American Public Transportation Association, and was co-hosted by the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and Capital Bikeshare.
